This year, Robin Williams name has been associated with three Emmy nominations: ‘Outstanding Picture Editing For A Special (Single Or Multi-Camera),’ ‘Outstanding Technical Direction, Camerawork, Video Control For A Miniseries, Movie Or A Special’ and ‘Outstanding Variety, Music Or Comedy Special.’
In the ‘Outstanding Picture Editing’ category, Michael D. Schultz, editor of “Robin Williams: Weapons Of Self Destruction” has garnered competition from editors of “Kathy Griffin: Balls Of Steel,” “The Kennedy Center Honors” and “The 25th Anniversary Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Concert.”
The “Robin Williams: Weapons Of Self Destruction” camera crew is also up for an Emmy for ‘Outstanding Technical Direction, Camerawork, Video Control For A Miniseries, Movie Or A Special.’
Their competition includes the “82nd Annual Academy Awards,” “The 52nd Annual Grammy Awards,” “The Kennedy Center Honors,” and “The 25th Anniversary Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Concert.”
Finally, Robin Williams is personally involved in this category: Outstanding Variety, Music Or Comedy Special. His competition includes Bill Maher’s “…But I’m Not Wrong,” Hope For Haiti Now, The Kennedy Center Honors, The 25th Anniversary Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Concert and Wanda Sykes: I’ma Be Me.
