Williams Returns for More ‘Self Destruction’

True to his word, the 57-year old comedian, Robin Williams, is bouncing back from aortic valve replacement surgery to resume his tour.

The comedy outing has been aptly renamed the “Weapons of Self-Destruction” tour, where he has rescheduled originally postponed dates, and added more shows to the roster. The tour will pick up starting at the end of September with an appearance at Indiana University, and continue through the end of November with two nights at the Borgata Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City, NJ.

Heart surgery postpones tour

Funnyman Robin Williams’ heart surgery is no laughing matter.

On March 13, Williams underwent heart surgery to replace his aortic valve, repair his mitral valve, and correct his irregular heart beat. Thankfully the surgery was a success and Robin plans on resuming his regularly scheduled one-man comedy tour called the “Weapons of Self Destruction” tour in the fall.

“I got some great new material for the tour and can’t wait to get back on the road. I’m thinking the next leg of the tour will be ‘Weapons of Self-Destruction and Reconstruction!’” Robin joked.
